"It
was said that SURVIVAL UNIT was going to play at 23.23, so we thought
we wouldn´t miss anything if we came back from our little trip outside
by 23.20. But how wrong were we, Sundsvall´s finest had started
their set earlier than stated. Anyway, as we got in to the concert room
the energy was already all over the place. SURVIVAL UNIT terrorized our
ears with some lower parts that eventually bursted out into emotion filled
loops which totally crushed the place to bits and pieces. Both members
delivered convincing and aggressive vocals and a rock solid performance.
Then, some time by mid-set when the adrenalin had reached it´s peak,
the electricity went out. Only the TV on the stage was still working,
strange … Kristian (of SURVIVAL UNIT) asked if they should continue,
and guess what he got in reply? They continued after a couple of minutes
without losing one bit of the intensity, maybe they even added some. Also,
WORKING CLASS LYNCHMOB did some guestvocals on one of the songs. Easily
one of the best and most powerful concerts I´ve attended. Without
a doubt. Not
that many people showed up, but as Kristian put it: ”It´s
better to play for a few wolves than a hundred sheep.”
